According to a CNN article, XCOR is announcing the development of its first suborbital passenger spaceplane. Called the Lynx, the two-seater is expected to begin passenger flights in 2010.

In building the Lynx, XCOR will leverage its considerable experience in developing rocket engines and building and flying the EZ-Rocket rocketplane, as well as XCOR's work in the new Rocket Racing League. The Lynx will also be capable of carrying scientific payloads and launching microsatellites with an upper stage.
