Well, John Spencer says the event is still in the planning phase.

Since I just moved to Silicon Valley, I'm a lot closer to STS.  I'm going
to help STS where I can, and that includes the conference.  When I find out
more details, y'all will be the first to know.

BTW the society's web site is at:

The site is old, but still informative.

FYI, If you have the money, the second International Symposium on Space
Tourism will take place in Bremen, Germany in March, 1999.  (I'm need to
submit something to them ASAP.)  For details, check out the site at:

It appears that Patrick is on the Program Committee.
