: travel and exploration has been the agency charged with
: promoting precisely that.
: In a poll of the 180-person audience, the biggest percentage
: -- a plurality -- chose "policy and legal" reasons as the
: biggest roadblocks to space development. Only 5 percent of
: the attendees said government had been "very supportive" of
: commercial development.
: "NASA is a huge politicized agency that knows how to buy
: support through the placement of their facilities and who
: they contract with," says Ed Hudgins, director of regulatory
: studies at the Cato Institute.
