Dear Partners of Technologies of the Frontier, participants to the 1st International Convention, and Astronaut Friends,

I hope you don't mind if I come suddendly to the point: the registrations to the Convention are still too few!
We're about at half of the minimum goal. I think many registrations are still to come, but time is running fast.
The Convention will be held anyway, but we run the risk to loose money, and none of us is a rich philanthropist, unfortunately!

I think we don't need, among us, to stress further the relevance of the first International Convention of TDF, in order to start introducing in the italian and european public discussion the topic of human expansion into space, the very huge perspective of free and peaceful development, a real revolution the size of which is difficult to foresee.

We already know that we will have the national media attending the Convention: if we will have a good success, the resonance is sure.
Let's think: thank to us, the media will talk about space economy and astronautic development, in this country!

In a political scenery so heavy and even suffocating as the current one, our initiative will touch the high cultural level that this country and the planet need so urgently.

For me, and for the ones that work for these goals since many years, the April 1st 2006 will be an historical date, and we don't ask more than a good success of the initiative, to feel repaid for our efforts!

This initiative is also a chance for many of us to see each other and know each other, since many of us only corresponded via email. Thanks to our convention we will make some small steps toward a better interantional coordination among people and organizations sharing the same ideal.

The subscription fee -- 60 Euros -- is very low, for events of this kind. Usually I saw fees not less than 300 Euros (leaving aside the IAF congress' quote, around 800 euros, but of course it's 5 days, not 1 only day).
We also provided a student fee, 25 euros, something that I never saw. Since we are only interested to provide a first meeting opportunity in this country, for people who are active or even only interested to the incoming space economy. Should some euros remain after covering the expenses, we will spend them to improve the magazine, or to finance other public or editorial initiatives.

I am asking you two things, with urgency, and calling to our common will, to make of this convention a full success:
1) register yourself
2) promote the initiative, asking your friends interested to astronautics, space tourism, astronomy, to register themselves

We recently activated (thanks to Franco Pallavicini, financial manager of the initiative), a PayPal account, in order to facilitate the payment by credit card. Just connect to http://www.tdf.it/IC1/TDF_IC1_Registration.htm.
No problems for possible double registrations: the ones who already registered, but didn't yet pay, can repeat the registration using PayPal, if they like so.

I hope you will reply to this call in good number, and emails from paypal start coming in!

Aim high!
Adriano Autino
