Space Future has been on something of a hiatus of late. With the concept of Space Tourism steadily increasing in acceptance, and the advances of commercial space, much of our purpose could be said to be achieved. But this industry is still nascent, and there's much to do. So...watch this space.
On 25 November 2005, SpaceX will be launching their rocket, Falcon 1, from an atoll in the Marshall Islands. The payload is a satellite which measures "plasma space phenomena."
According to this CNN article , SpaceShipOne will be enjoying a healthy retirement at the Smithsonian Institute's National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C..
It looks like
Burt Rutan's next planned flight test of his SpaceShipOne will include firing the rocket motor again. This may turn out to be quite ambitious compared to the first in-flight firing late last year.
