Jim Benson
Jim Benson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Benson Space Company
, and the founder and former CEO of SpaceDev, the world's first publicly traded (Nasdaq OTCBB: SPDV) commercial space development and exploration company. Prior to founding SpaceDev, Mr. Benson was founder and President of Compusearch Software Systems and ImageFast, both of McLean, Virginia. Mr. Benson has broad experience working with global resource issues and economics, energy policy, advanced technology assessment and governmental policy. Mr. Benson is the Vice Chairman and private sector representative of NASA's Space Grant Review Board. Mr. Benson earned a B.S. in Geology from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1971.
